Letter from Alzheimer's Association Delaware Valley Chapter, Alzheimer's Association Delaware Valley Chapter
Douglas E. Nestler
I hope this message finds you well, and enjoying the Holiday Season.
Back in December I bought two vehicles from Ciocca dealerships for my children, actually over the course of just two days. Both experiences were quite good, the first being at your VW dealership in Allentown. The staff there was informed and courteous, and throughout the process treated us very well. Alex, the salesperson we dealt with, was able to succinctly explain the rather complicated line-up of Jetta vehicles available, while the sales and finance managers were willing to deal with me on price and terms. In the case of the lower-end Jetta my daughter decided on, an extended warranty was not in the cards, despite a very polished presentation by Jeremy. In all, it was a quite satisfactory overall experience.
The next day we found ourselves looking at a Subaru WRX, this time for my son who had just graduated from college. The Allentown Subaru dealership takes the cake for executing perhaps the best automobile purchasing experience I've ever had. We had the distinct pleasure of dealing with Greg Fichter, and from the moment we arrived until later that day taking delivery, "outstanding" is the one word I would attribute to Greg's prowess and polish as a sales professional. Knowledgeable, forthright, enthusiastic and eager to earn our business, Greg was a pleasure to deal with at every level. After checking out the WRX, my son wanted to look at some other brands, so while we did that I negotiated the deal with Greg via text, a first for me but something I'd recommend for those wishing to circumvent the typical showroom drama. I want to also add that your Subaru dealership was absolutely buzzing, with an electric atmosphere that was infectious.
I'm a fairly experienced car buyer, and was well aware of the scarcity of this particular WRX with an automatic transmission. Still, I felt that Greg negotiated in good faith, got us a square deal on our trade, and overall left us feeling awesome about the purchase and the relationship with Ciocca Subaru. Everyone else there at the dealership who was involved were also great to deal with, but for my money you have one heck of a sales leader in Greg.
I have spent my 35 year career in musical instrument sales, from retail in the early '80s, to wholesale, national and international distribution to now managing a large ecommerce outfit. As well as being a salesperson, I have taught others how to sell, and been honored to lecture on sales process at Drexel University's LeBow College of Business. So when I see a young man like Greg taking our craft seriously, it's something I felt needed to be mentioned. I've never been inclined by the way to write a letter to the owner of a car dealership, typically the experience leaves me drained and not always 100% satisfied. In this case, I was compelled to reach out to you personally, and provide my honest input about an absolutely "text" book sale. J My hat's off to you, and to your organization.
