Compare the Subaru Crosstrek to the Honda HR-V and Nissan Kicks

Drivers on the go aren't always looking for the biggest, toughest SUV or one that seats the most amount of passengers. Sometimes, you need something that can keep up with all your adventures. That's where the Subaru Crosstrek comes into the conversation. When you need an SUV that puts you in control of your commute, we recommend considering the Subaru Crosstrek.

Compared with the Honda HR-V and Nissan Kicks, the Subaru Crosstrek is a perfect choice. Consider the comparisons below today!

Subaru Crosstrek vs. Honda HR-V

The Subaru Crosstrek is up for all of your off-road adventures, enjoying 8.7-inches of ground clearance and standard Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive. This capability gives the Subaru Crosstrek the confidence to make your way over obstacles in your way or through rough terrain conditions. The Honda HR-V offers all-wheel drive, but it's not a standard feature. You'll also only get 6.7-inches of ground clearance, cautioning you to be a little more careful with your travels.

The new Crosstrek offers the dual-function X-MODE® technology with Hill Descent Control, allowing you to navigate Snow/Dirt and Deep Snow/Mud situations by optimizing the all-wheel drive configuration. The Honda HR-V doesn't offer this technology in its lineup.

Available driver assistance packages give the Honda HR-V and Subaru Crosstrek similar peace of mind, allowing you to improve your driving experience through crowded streets. The Crosstrek also comes with available LED Steering Responsive Headlights, curving with the twists and turns of the road ahead. The HR-V won't give you the same confidence.

Subaru Crosstrek vs. Nissan Kicks

Subcompact crossovers won't rock the world with big engines and muscular output, but the Subaru Crosstrek offers efficient performance to keep it ahead of the Kicks. The Subaru SUV equips a 2.0-liter engine, making 152 horsepower and 145 pound-feet of torque - the Kicks won't come with as capable of an engine, only providing 122 horsepower and 114 pound-feet feet, respectively.

You won't find a Subaru Crosstrek model without the legendary Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive system, giving you enhanced traction control and handling when you want to be a little more adventurous. The Nissan Kicks won't offer all-wheel drive on any model.

The Crosstrek may appear small, but the interior offers a spacious 100.9 cubic feet of passenger volume. The Nissan Kicks is a smaller ride, only featuring 93 cubic feet inside. The Subaru SUV also comes with 55.3 cubic feet of storage space with the second row folded flat, while the Nissan Kicks will feel even more cramped with only 32.3 cubic feet of cargo space.
